and sometimes there is even a tornado.
Really!
I said I would not update the blog unless there was something noteworthy to report, well there is.
Adam called me on his way to the hospital with the big kids in tow for some "quality" family time. He said " I need to tell you something" in a tone where I knew there was something really good or really bad going on... I feared the latter.
He said Laura fell down at her friend's this afternoon and she might need stitches in her chin. To make a long story short, the nurses on the floor checked it out and we took her down to the ER, yes, the same ER that admitted us yesterday. They put some dermabond on and some steri strips and she should be as good as new.
So I was upstairs doing the feed, pump, repeat with Andrew as my helper, Adam was down in the ER with Laura and Emma. As if all of this was not enough the tornado sirens started going off, and I wondered what they would do with us on the 8th floor. Thankfully there was not a tornado by the hospital but it was nearby.
The good thing is, I am laughing about all of this.
What else can I do?
It is time to try to get some shut eye between the three hour feeds.
I will have some updates in the AM.

Hey! This is Valarie who used to go to HHBC and got transplanted to Tulsa. I followed a link from Kasie's blog. First, let me say that I am praying for weight and answers for your sweet little girl! She looks adorable! And terribly loved, too! I'm going to throw out some random breastfeeding info, you may have thought of this and written it off, and obviously I don't know everything about Sarah's health! If your supply is in question, eat oatmeal, in any shape or form it is a natural way to increase your milk production. I have no experience with reglen. But I know oatmeal works. It may take a couple of days to see a difference, but keep at it. Also, have they weighed her before and after feedings to see how much she is taking in when nursing? Also on supply, instead of offering bottles of formula, use a Supplemental Nursing System (SNS), where the bottle is attached higher (shoulder?) and formula runs through a tube that is attached right by your nipple so that she is nursing but still getting the formula that they want her to have. I can only imagine how exhausting this must be for all of you right now! Again, praying for weight and answers for your little Sarah and rest and endurance for the rest of you!
Oh wow! I just checked in thinking, that baby must have been born and I've missed it. Aparently I've missed a lot! I am now praying for you all and your sweet little princess.
Grace and Peace,
Angel
