Freak Show

This past weekend was the much anticipated toby Mac concert. As you know from previous posts safety usually comes first around here...because of that we came armed with earplugs. Better to look dorky for a few hours than to have long term hearing loss. :) I think we all ended up taking them out by the time Toby took the stage. The opening bands were good but we were all ready for the headliner. Laura was such a trooper she was awake and singing along for much of the concert but at one point fell asleep on Adam's shoulder. He laid her down on one of our seats and she slept for the rest of the show, but she still had a great time.

The rest of us sang and danced along to some of our favorite songs and had a blast. The kids were commenting on how the music shook their chest...ahhh nothing like your first rock concert.

In the end we had a great time and with the looks of the audience should be preparing for many more of these evenings.

What fun! I'm like Kate - my first concert was Michael W. Smith with Amy Grant - singing songs from her "Unguarded" album. Your kids will always remember this!

I was just wondering when the "Big Day" was going to be. Alec is already hoping Toby will make it back our way next year.
